We hope that the following information will give you some idea as to our general hotel policies and what you can expect during your stay with us. For more details on booking your accommodation please view the terms & conditions of booking.
Check in from 14:00 - 22:00. Check out by 11:00.

Guests may check in between the hours of 14:00 and 22:00 on their day of arrival - please let us know when you think you will arrive so that someone can be there to greet you. If you would like early or late check-in then please arrange this with us before-hand.
All guests should ensure that they bring with them some photographic proof of ID (passport, driving licence or identity card) as we may need to see this when checking you in.
Check-out is between the hours of 7:30am and 11:00am. Early or late checkout can be arranged with us. Your bill must be settled with us prior to checkout and room-keys returned.
Guests must vacate their rooms by 11:00am on their day of departure so that rooms can be prepared for new guests.
All rooms contain wardrobes where guests may store luggage during their stay. If you have any valuables, you may want to arrange for us to place these in our safe.
Guests checking out may leave their luggage with us* while they are out for the day (subject to availability). You must arrange this with us before-hand and give us a time for you to collect it.
* All left luggage is left at the owner's risk and is subject to search if it comes under suspicion.
The hotel is strictly non-smoking throughout all interior areas. All facilities and services are subject to availability.
Elmdon Lodge is a family hotel and children and babies are welcome.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. The maximum capacity of baby cots in a room is 1 (single rooms are unable to accommodate baby cots). Baby cots are upon request and need to be confirmed at time of booking.
Highchairs, cots and a selection of games are available. Children are welcome to play in both the guest lounge and the garden.
Parents should ensure that young children are supervised at all times and any noise or mess is kept to a minimum for the comfort of our other guests - particularly after 9:30pm when other guests may be retiring for the night. Guests without children should try and remember that children are naturally lively and sometimes a little noisy!
Parking is available to the rear of the property in a gated enclosure. Overnight guests can park for free during their stay. Additionally, free on-street parking is available on Elmdon Road.
Elmdon Lodge is wi-fi enabled and the internet may be accessed using a lap-top or net-book with wireless internet capabilities. Access keys for the internet are available on request.
We offer our guests free internet access (subject to fair usage and availability).
Guests on a bed&breakfast rate: a serviced breakfast with fresh tea, coffee, cold buffet and cooked to order menu is in operation between 6:45am and 9am on weekdays, and 8am to 10am on weekends. If you require an earlier or later breakfast then you are welcome to help yourself to cereals, fruit and drinks from the buffet area before 11.30am.
Guests are welcome to bring their own meals to eat in our dining room. We kindly request that guests do not eat takeaway foods or meals in the bedrooms. Evening meals may also be available for a surcharge during your stay.
The hotel is cleaned every day. Your bedroom will be thoroughly cleaned before your arrival and maintained to a high cleanliness standard during your stay. Linens and towels are always fresh for your arrival and changed at a minimum of once every 4 days for longer term stays.
A green towel policy is in operation. If you need your towels changing then please leave the old ones on the floor! Wherever possible we try and use cleaning products and items that are not harmful to the environment. We recycle as much as we can, and Birmingham council burns their waste rather than using landfill.
We have pets of our own (3 dogs) - so apologies to guests with allergies.
We may be able to accept your pet during your stay - get in contact with us and tell us what kind of pet you own and we will let you know if we can accept it while we are accommodating you. We do not normally allow dogs or pets in the bedrooms however due to the noise this may cause our other guests while your pet is in unfamiliar surroundings.
We will always allow guide dogs and hearing dogs.
Number of floors: 3 (access to upper floors via staircase)
One ground floor room (single) is available which is suitable for guests who have trouble climbing stairs - unfortunately this room cannot easily accommodate a full-sized wheelchair. Our downstairs shower room has mobility-ease hand grips.
We can provide access ramps for wheelchairs.
For the blind and visually impaired we can provide large print menus / documents on request. We are sorry but we currently do not have any literature in braille. Guide dogs and hearing dogs are welcome throughout the hotel.

For telephone bookings or bookings arranged via email / this website, we accept payment at the hotel via cash, cheque or credit or debit card.
The balance of your bill is payable at the hotel prior to departure.
A minimum deposit of equivalent value to the first night of your stay is required to secure your booking.
If You have paid a Booking Deposit (always equivalent to the cost of one night's accommodation or service) or the full amount of Your Booking:
If You cancel Your Booking within 48 hours of the scheduled check-in time on the date of arrival as printed on your booking confirmation a charge equivalent to the cost of one night's accommodation (or service) will be levied.
If You need to cancel Your Booking more than 48 hours before the scheduled check-in time a full-refund will be given (subject to terms & conditions).
To amend or Cancel Your Booking, call us directly on (UK) 0121 706 6968. If you amend Your Booking within 48 hours of the scheduled check-in time on the date of arrival, and as a result You cancel any room night with less than 48 hours notice a charge equivalent to the cost of one night's accommodation (or Service) will be levied.
